Editor and communication specialist

20-32 hours per week

We are looking for someone with experience in social media and content production, good language skills, and who is well-organized and systematic.

We are looking for a part-time editor and communication specialist who will work with our team on running our communication and content production agenda. We are looking for someone with proven experience in running communications for a small organization, and a desire to contribute to a more open, just and democratic technology landscape.

You will join Open Future as we engage in policy debates about access to knowledge and culture, limiting the power of technology companies and strengthening the role of public institutions and civic initiatives in the digital environment.

An ideal candidate will have editorial experience and be able to produce materials such as blog posts, newsletters, event reports or summaries of our work. This person will also help other team members write in a way that’s engaging and consistent with our communication style.

This job also involves managing our website and producing (with the help of an external graphic designer) PDFs of our publications. Finally, you will be also responsible for managing our social media.
