About Mala
Mala Kumar is a global development professional with expertise in UX research and design, open-source software, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. She is currently the Director of Program Management, AI Safety at MLCommons and previously served as the Director of Tech for Social Good at GitHub.
During her fellowship with Open Future, Mala will explore issues related to the economic inclusivity of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) and Digital Commons (DC) in Europe. Her research will provide evidence-based policy recommendations for advancing economic inclusivity to create more viable careers in DPI and DC for social good.
