Nadia is a 2023 Fellow at Open Future. She is an urbanist turned technologist working at the intersection of ethical tech, commons, public space, and more transparent and accountable governance.
During her fellowship, Nadia explores the frictions in the governance of AI technologies through a series of articles.
Nadia has been working with open source software such as Decidim to forward an agenda for more ethical tech and tech for the public interest and to create accessible digital platforms – especially for digital cultural heritage. She is a founding member of Design Justice Mediterranea and the diaspora tech collective Tech Revengers. Her work and activism include developing narratives that foment more inclusive participation, developing digital resources and tools, and researching internal practices on more participatory governance. Nadia works toward social justice, especially with and for queer and migrant communities.
